DVB-C Modulator is a high-performance RF modulation platform engineered for professional cable TV headends, IPTV/QAM gateways and broadband distribution networks. Supporting constellations up to QAM256, it ensures excellent RF quality and high spectral efficiency required for HD and multi-program digital broadcasting. With a versatile 70–865 MHz output range and configurable channel layouts up to 32 independent QAM carriers, this modulator provides exceptional flexibility for scalable DVB-C systems.
Built for reliability and precision, the DVB-C Modulator delivers MER performance higher than 45 dB, ensuring clean, interference-free modulation across coaxial networks of any size. The device is fully controlled via Ethernet using our VCC professional software, allowing centralized management of frequencies, symbol rates, QAM modes, output levels and optional injection parameters. The platform supports interchangeable RF connector types (N, F or SMA) for seamless integration with CATV infrastructures.
✅ High-stability QAM modulation for cable TV networks
This DVB-C Modulator is designed to deliver exceptionally stable QAM16–QAM256 modulation with professional-grade performance suitable for regional and national cable systems. High modulation accuracy ensures better constellation integrity, enabling operators to transmit HD or dense multiplexes without signal degradation.
✅ Wide 70–865 MHz output range for flexible frequency planning
With a broad RF output range from 70 to 865 MHz, the modulator can operate across any CATV frequency plan and adapt to mixed legacy and modern channel lineups. Operators can deploy it in narrowband or wideband configurations and map QAM channels efficiently to avoid conflicts with analog carriers or internal network allocations.
✅ Multi-channel architecture with independent QAM control
The modulator can be supplied with 1–32 RF channels, each controlled independently for frequency, constellation, symbol rate and output level. This multi-carrier capability enables consolidation of multiple QAM modulators into a single compact chassis, reducing rack space and lowering power consumption.
✅ Optional 10 MHz reference and 24 V injection for advanced synchronization
For operators requiring strict synchronization across multiple transmitters or QAM clusters, the modulator supports an optional high-stability 10 MHz reference input. Optional 24 V DC power injection allows powering external RF amplifiers or BUCs directly through the same RF line, simplifying system wiring.
🛠️ Whether you need a DVB-C modulator for cable TV headends, an IP-to-QAM gateway for IPTV distribution, or a multi-channel RF modulation platform with QAM256 support, the DVB-C Modulator is designed to deliver professional stability, flexibility and long-term reliability.
🛒 The DVB-C Modulator is available for professional deployment in digital cable TV networks, hospitality systems, enterprise TV infrastructures and broadcast laboratories. You can integrate it into new or existing CATV systems where stable QAM output and flexible channel planning are required.
📌 Key features
-
Support for QAM16–QAM256 professional constellations
This DVB-C Modulator supports a full range of QAM constellations up to QAM256, enabling high-density channel distribution over coaxial networks. The flexibility in constellation choice allows operators to optimize throughput and quality for each network segment.
-
Wide output frequency range of 70–865 MHz
Operating across nearly the entire CATV band, this modulator integrates easily into any cable distribution topology. The wideband operation provides compatibility with legacy analog carriers and modern digital channel allocations.
-
MER higher than 45 dB for clean, interference-free RF output
High MER performance ensures a clean constellation shape and excellent resilience to RF impairments. This is especially important for QAM256 modes, where even small distortions can affect signal quality.
-
1–32 independent modulation channels
Operators can order configurations from a single RF channel up to 32 independent QAM carriers in one chassis. Each channel is configured separately, allowing precise management of multiplexes and frequency grids.
-
Optional 10 MHz reference and 24 V/3A DC power injection
The optional 10 MHz reference input enables precise synchronization in environments requiring carrier alignment across multiple devices. The optional DC injection feature provides clean 24 V power for external equipment, simplifying CATV headend architecture.
⚙️ Main functions
-
Remote Ethernet control via VCC software
The modulator is fully configured through VCC software over Ethernet, allowing operators to manage QAM settings, symbol rates, RF levels and reference options remotely. Real-time monitoring provides clear system status feedback.
-
Automatic restoration after power loss
Thanks to non-volatile memory, all configuration parameters are saved and automatically restored after power failure. This ensures continuous broadcasting without reconfiguration.
-
Built-in overvoltage, overload and short-circuit protection
The power protection system safeguards both the modulator and connected RF infrastructure. It helps prevent damage caused by wiring issues, unstable supply voltage or accidental overload.
-
Stable RF output with adjustable power level of 80–107 dBµV
The RF output can be configured within a wide amplitude range, allowing operators to match network attenuation levels precisely. This ensures proper signal balance at all branching points and stable reception across the CATV distribution chain.
🧩 Applications
