DVB-T/T2 Regenerator is a professional terrestrial broadcasting device engineered to recover distorted or low-quality DVB-T/T2 signals and retransmit them with clean, stable parameters suitable for modern TV distribution networks. Featuring full RF-level regeneration and support for up to 32 independent regeneration channels, this system is ideal for terrestrial TV operators, MVDS networks, re-broadcasting stations and headend facilities facing signal degradation caused by distance, interference or multi-path fading.

Operating across 10–1100 MHz, the DVB-T/T2 Regenerator supports QAM16, QAM32 and QAM64 constellations (QAM256 optional), delivering MER values over 40 dB to meet strict DVB-T/T2 quality requirements. Remote control via Ethernet and the VCC software suite allows operators to configure, monitor and manage regeneration channels with precision and reliability, ensuring 24/7 fault-tolerant operation.

High-performance DVB-T/T2 signal regeneration

The DVB-T/T2 Regenerator performs full RF regeneration, removing distortions such as phase noise, fading artifacts or interference introduced along terrestrial distribution paths. It ensures each output channel meets DVB-T/T2 quality thresholds for robust decoding. With MER >40 dB, operators gain superior output stability for modern COFDM broadcasting systems.

Modular multi-channel architecture

Supporting 1–32 regeneration channels, the system is built to scale from small regional installations to national terrestrial headends. Each channel works independently, enabling flexible routing, cascading and redundancy planning. This architecture allows network operators to expand services without replacing existing infrastructure.

Ethernet-based network control and diagnostics

Through VCC software and IP-based management, engineers can remotely configure parameters, monitor RF levels, adjust frequency assignments and review system diagnostics. This reduces on-site maintenance and simplifies integration into high-density DVB headends. Remote access ensures time-efficient and cost-effective operation.

🛠️ The DVB-T/T2 Regenerator integrates advanced hardware signal protection, remote management, temperature and overload safeguards, and auto-restore settings after power events. Broadcast engineers benefit from an intuitive TCP/IP control environment, allowing rapid diagnostics, constellation monitoring, MER measurement and flexible reconfiguration in complex multi-channel DVB-T/T2 networks.

🛒 Designed for professional terrestrial broadcasting infrastructures, this regenerator ensures high MER output, stable COFDM performance and reliable DVB-T/T2 signal retransmission across large service areas. Operators can deploy the device in single-channel or high-density 32-channel configurations, making it a scalable solution for regional headends, terrestrial repeaters, re-broadcast towers, hospitality networks and IPTV hybrid systems.

📌 Key features

  • Multi-channel DVB-T/T2 Regenerator (1–32 channels)

This regenerator supports between one and thirty-two independent DVB-T/T2 regeneration channels, allowing broadcasters to expand or scale their terrestrial networks. Each channel performs isolated regeneration, ensuring signal consistency across complex COFDM deployments. This flexibility makes it ideal for dense re-broadcast systems and MVDS headends requiring multiple regenerated carriers.

  • High MER output for professional broadcasting

Producing MER values greater than 40 dB, the system ensures high-quality DVB-T/T2 signal output that meets strict terrestrial broadcasting requirements. High MER minimizes BER and improves decoder stability in set-top boxes and digital TVs. This performance is essential for operators delivering HD terrestrial content over large regions.

  • Wide RF frequency range: 10–1100 MHz

The regenerator supports a broad terrestrial frequency spectrum suitable for DVB-T and hybrid DVB-T/T2 installations. This allows operation within UHF, VHF and custom broadcasting ranges. Engineers can configure precise output frequencies with 1 kHz granularity, enabling accurate alignment with existing networks.

  • Support for QAM16/QAM32/QAM64 constellations

Designed for terrestrial DVB systems, the regenerator supports the key constellations used in DVB-T deployments. This ensures compatibility with diverse modulation schemes used by cable, terrestrial providers and professional headend systems. Optional QAM256 support enables advanced COFDM profiles for high-capacity networks.

⚙️ Main functions

  • Automatic parameter recovery after power restoration

The system stores all configuration settings in non-volatile memory, ensuring complete recovery after electrical outages. This guarantees reliable 24/7 operation in critical broadcasting environments. Operators can trust that no reconfiguration is needed after unexpected downtime.

  • Integrated over-voltage, over-load and short-circuit protection

Built-in hardware safeguards protect the regenerator from electrical anomalies, extending operational longevity. This protection is crucial for installations in remote terrestrial repeater sites where voltage fluctuations may occur. The system continues operating safely under demanding field conditions.

  • Optional 10 MHz reference and 24V power injection

Professional headends benefit from synchronized operation via external 10 MHz reference input, improving frequency stability. Additionally, the option to inject 24V DC allows power delivery to external BUCs or RF equipment. These features enhance integration flexibility across diverse DVB-T/T2 network topologies.

🧩 Applications

  • Terrestrial DVB-T/T2 broadcasting networks

Ideal for regional and national TV providers needing stable COFDM signal regeneration for retransmission towers. The system ensures clean and synchronized terrestrial output capable of covering extensive geographic areas. This is especially valuable in networks with mixed SFN and MFN configurations.

  • Digital TV repeater and gap-filler stations

Weak or noisy terrestrial signals can be regenerated for improved downstream coverage. The regenerator restores signal quality without introducing drift or distortion, enabling consistent coverage in remote or obstructed areas. This makes it well-suited for mountainous or urban gap-filler installations.

  • MVDS and local broadcasting systems

In MVDS networks, regenerated DVB-T/T2 carriers provide stable input signals for downstream distribution over microwave or coaxial networks. The device ensures stable MER output for further modulation stages. Operators can easily integrate multiple regenerated carriers into custom frequency plans.
